SPDR S&P MidCap 400 ETF Was Today’s Biggest ETF Dollar Gainer

The SPDR S&P MidCap 400 ETF (MDY) outperformed all other non-leveraged, non-inverse exchange traded products in the U.S. today on a dollar basis, producing a $1.69 one-day return and outperforming the wider markets by a total of 0.32 percentage points.

Behind The Gains

MDY closed today at $306.65 per share, up $1.69 (+0.55%). Putting this move in context, the S&P 500 index — largely considered the most popular and useful benchmark for equity performance — closed up $0.52 (+0.23%) on the day.
