Count Your Blessings

Editor’s note: The following piece is an advertorial.

China has been a hot topic lately, and most of it has been negative. Whether it is Chinese currency devaluations, stock market crashes, plans to take over the reserve currency status, questions about their gold holdings, or any number of other things China related, I’m sure many of us are getting burned out on negative China stories. So, rather than beat a dead horse and keep pounding away at China, today I will introduce something related to Chinese culture I think we can all connect with, to a certain extent.

Expressing wishes through giving blessings is a very important part of Chinese culture, and there are five blessings that are thought to capture all aspects of one’s life. These blessings are for: happiness, career success, long life, joy, and good fortune. When you think about it, who wouldn’t want all of those blessings for themselves and their loved ones? Now, you have a chance to give or receive these blessings as well.

Bestow Some Of These Blessings
With that introduction, I am proud to announce that EverBank has secured an agreement to be the exclusive United States distributor of the 2015 one-ounce gold and silver Five Blessings coins. These bullion coins are exquisitely produced and engraved by the Royal Canadian Mint, and with a very limited mintage. The coins feature a design based on the concept of the above mentioned “Five Blessings” with a different symbol representing each of these blessings.

The reverse side of the coin depicts the five images associated with the Five Blessings of traditional Chinese culture. Four animals appear on the left side of the coin, including a bat for happiness, a deer for career success, two cranes for long life, and a magpie for joy. On the right side of the coin is a special Chinese symbol to offer a wish of good fortune.

The obverse side of the coin depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, which many of you will recognize from other Maple Leaf coins, designed by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt. The face value of the gold coin is 50 dollars (Canadian) and the face value of the silver coin is 5 dollars (Canadian), and each coin is struck with 99.99% pure gold or silver.

This is only the second year that this coin has been produced, and last year’s version was in such high demand, we felt this would be great opportunity to offer our clients something at a very competitive price that they could not get anywhere else. And, although these are bullion coins, they also appeal to collectors both for their eye appeal and limited mintage numbers – unlike the tens of millions of regular Maple Leaf coins struck each year. The theme of the coin also makes it a great gift for that coin collector/investor in your life.

With metals prices being depressed in recent years and at near multi-year lows, this coin becomes an attractive acquisition at these levels for both collectors and long-term investors. And remember, EverBank is offering these coins exclusively to our clients, and we are the only source in the United States where you can obtain this year’s version of the Five Blessings coins.

If you are a current client, please call our trading desk now at 1.855.813.8484 to lock in a price. If you aren’t a current client, what are you waiting for? Go to and apply now for an EverBank non-FDIC-insured Metals Select® account, and you’ll be able to purchase these coins along with many other precious metals offerings at competitive prices.

These coins likely won’t last long, so get them while they are still available at these prices, and let EverBank offer you wishes of good fortune, happiness, career success, joy and a very long and prosperous life.

Until the next Daily Pfennig® edition…
